When I stand next to the ocean I feel infinite and small all at once. Worries wash away with the tide and my heartbeat slows as I take in the fresh air. It's magical and renewing all at once. Trips to the beach often mark the ending of a stressful semester for us. Its become a tradition over the years to make the pilgrimage to our nearby island whenever life is getting to be a little too much to handle. From the repetitive sound of water crashing against the earth to the warmth of the sand between our toes, the ocean is a melody of the ultimate sensory ideal.
De-stressing is such a vital component of life. It's all too easy to get caught up in the moment of everything going on around you and lose sight of what keeps you truly centered. So here's to finding your place to let go and remember why you started!
There's not a day that passes by
When I don't wish I was by the seaside
Wanna sink into warm sand
After a short ride
To breathe in and hear the ocean confide
Gazing into depths of blue
Find I am thinking of you
Just like that
I can breathe again
See you soon!
